By installing or using the shldi browser extension or visiting this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
shldi provides an AI-powered browser extension that generates summaries of YouTube video content. The service is offered in two tiers: a free plan with limited daily usage and a paid Pro plan with higher limits and additional features.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use shldi. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Access to shldi requires authentication via Google OAuth. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must keep your credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You agree not to:
shldi and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of shldi and its licensors. AI-generated summaries are provided for personal informational use only and may not be republished or redistributed without permission.
The service integrates with Google OAuth for authentication, YouTube's public data, AWS Cognito for identity management, and LemonSqueezy for payment processing. These services have their own terms and privacy policies which govern their respective data handling.
Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly through LemonSqueezy. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, United Kingdom, or Israel, you have the right to withdraw from your first subscription purchase within 14 days of the initial transaction date without giving any reason (the "cooling-off period"). To exercise this right, email support@shldi-ai.com before the 14-day period expires. If you have already used the service during the cooling-off period, we reserve the right to charge a pro-rated amount for the portion of service consumed.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. AI-generated summaries may contain inaccuracies. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any summary generated by the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, shldi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the service operator is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the foregoing, consumers in the EU, EEA, UK, or Israel retain all rights under applicable mandatory local consumer protection law and may bring claims in their local courts.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notice.

shldi ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile picture via OAuth 2.0. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Usage data: We collect counts of summaries generated per day to enforce plan limits. We do not store your browsing history.
Video identifiers and cached summaries: We process YouTube video IDs to generate AI summaries. Video IDs and their generated summaries (bullet points) are cached in our database to serve repeat requests faster. These cached summaries are not linked to your personal identity.
Content script activity: The extension runs on all webpages you visit to detect YouTube links and display summaries on hover. The extension does not read, transmit, or store the content of pages you visit — it only inspects links for YouTube video URLs.
Payment data: Billing is handled entirely by LemonSqueezy. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We share data only with:
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Usage counters reset daily. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).
The extension uses browser chrome.storage.local to store your authentication tokens locally on your device. This website does not use first-party tracking cookies. When you initiate a Pro checkout, the website loads LemonSqueezy's payment SDK, which may set functional cookies per their own Privacy Policy.
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, secure OAuth token handling, and access-controlled infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
shldi is operated from servers in the United States (AWS us-east-1). If you are located outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on standard contractual clauses and AWS's data processing agreement as the legal mechanism for such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection law. You retain all rights under applicable local data protection law regardless of where your data is processed.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the site. Your continued use of the service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
